We packed up a picnic and headed up to overlook the Horsetooth Reservoir to celebrate Father's Day. It was a beautiful spot, well worth the $7 it cost us to park there because it is part of some kind of park.
There are giant dandelions to blow around here.
Can you see the resemblance.
The new red cowboy boots are definitely the favorite shoes these days. Thanks Maddie.
Who knew that they would be prefect for bouldering?
After our lunch we took a mini hike down toward the water.
Red cowboy boots are also perfect for hiking.
And for being carried by Papa.
There are lots of pretty little flowers along the trail as well as wild rhubarb.
At the bottom we enjoyed some time on a big rock overlooking the boats on the reservoir.
Then we headed back up.
Lots of these guys along the trail too, very pretty but I certainly would not want to brush up against one.
Charlie was just along for the ride.
He is usually a pretty good sport as long as he's strapped onto Mama.
