Green Face

I'm not really a huge fan of Halloween but since Viola started going to school we can no longer hide from this day of costumes and treats.  This year she wanted to be a witch (complete with green face) of all things.  So here she is ready for her classmate's Halloween party.

And this afternoon when Papa came home the pumpkin was carved, the seeds roasted,
And the leaves were piled and jumped in!
Then to complete the distraction from Tricks-or-Treats we watched "Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin" while eating Tim Tams, popcorn with marshmallows and chocolate chips, chips and salsa, and the pumpkin seeds.  Viola has decided that she had too many treats and we should have no sugar tomorrow.  Objective achieved.

Harvest Farm with the Preschoolers

It's field trip week!  I spent the morning with Charlie's school at the Harvest farm.  There were all kinds of things to do and Charlie thought it was grand to have a field trip of his own to attend.  He probably told Viola 50 times that it was just for him and she could not come.
We got to pet a calf and a kid.  Charlie was not a fan of the goats with horns.
There was a pile of corn to roll around in.
His best pal Fletchie was there!
And he got to pick out three little pumpkins!  It was a good day to be a Charlie Behr.

Bowling with the First Graders

I had the pleasure of accompanying Viola's class to the bowling alley this morning to study forces and motion.  It was a good time and now we know that Viola is the force in this scenario.

Viola lost something.

It's official.  The first lost tooth!  She pulled it herself during P.E. today and came to the car with a huge grin.  Needless to say, she's beside herself!

Cirque du Tire Swing

I showed the kids some videos from the Cirque du Soleil.  They are now preparing to swing from the high trapeze.
