Father's Day

We celebrated Brian with some of his favorite (sugary) things to eat and lots of love.
Can you tell they're related?  Ha! They look just alike!
This little girl adores her Papa.
This little cheese ball loves him too.
Then Brian somehow made the kids think that cleaning the sun-room windows with soapy water was really fun.  So we had a fun afternoon of window washing.

Shoe Tying!

I don't know how it happened but this one can now tie (and double knot) her shoes!

Charlie's first ride to the Park

Today was Charlie's first time off of the cul-de-sac on his balance bike.  It was pretty huge.  We cooled off in the stream before hopping back on the bikes for a ride home.

Sewing

We have been listening to all of the Laura Ingalls Wilder audio books and now Viola wants to learn to sew just like Laura.  She said that she's getting good so she'll probably start making all of our clothes.

No Homework!!!

After a grueling four week engineering course Brian doesn't have to study.  We are enjoying family time and lots of fighting over who sits next to him.  Tonight we did roasting marshmallows on the fire (finally burning the Christmas tree and some scrap wood).

There has been some catching up with the old "Mind Craft".

By the Way...

...Charlie turned 3 on June 3 but it was one of those survival days and the camera did not make it out to photograph the celebration.  It included Chinese takeout, lemon cake, home made "yellow" ice-cream and this guy took all of his presents directly to the bathtub.  It was a magical night.
As you can see he is much loved.
And his favorite color is yellow.  He always chooses yellow.
In other news.  We are adjusting to summer days and creating a wonderful home for all of our local rolly-pollies.
Trying to get out as much energy as possible.

 Good times.

Happy Birthday to Me

My sweet family made my day very nice starting with hugs and a home made breakfast burrito.  Then cupcakes made by sweet Brian and I got to have dinner in a restaurant (No Dishes!!!)
 It was a good day.
Photo by Viola.  She's getting pretty good!
