Hike up to Greyrock

We headed up to Greyrock Mountain for a little Sunday afternoon hike with some friends from church.  It was a lovely hike up a mountain next to a babbling stream surrounded by wildflowers.  Then a good amount of scrambling up steep rocks to the summit.  I'm glad I did it, but my body hurts.

Doug introduced us to Chokecherries.  I now know why they are called that.  It's like eating a bitter cotton ball.  We'll save them all for you Doug.
 So many different wildflowers.
There was a good amount of burn evidence along this trail which has experienced two major fires in recent years.
But the forest is working hard to recover.
My sweet husband carrying my pack and bottle as I struggle up-hill.
Pre-summit photo op.  Just a little bit further.
 We (I) made it!
The views from the top did not disappoint.

 Post-summit team photo.
We were just right up there.
Good times.  I'm going to sleep well tonight!
