And we can hardly believe it. We celebrated with a trip to the Denver Zoo. And an intimate gathering of family and one friend (with family). It was a good day.
We had to get a picture with the camels because this was Viola's Camel Birthday. (You'll see why later)
Viola and Papa learning something new.
You have to read it yourself to believe it.
We had some very close encounters.
Sun freckles while looking at Elephants.
Viola learned that if you are still, quiet, and patient a Crested Wood Partridge might just make you its new buddy. (I really wanted to grab one of these little guys they were so cute and curious)

Charlie got to live out his fantasy of riding a train.
We were running short on time to get Brian back to class so he took Viola on the Carousel while I rode with this guy on the train. So just imagine Viola on the carousel sitting in the peacock chariot because she was too afraid to ride on an animal that went up and down.
He did not want to get off.
The birthday girl chose pancakes for dinner. If you can believe it there were only three leftover.
It was a merry group of revelers.
Centerpiece of Violas thanks to my friend Cathy.
When asked what kind of cake she wanted months ago she said watermelon with paper camels walking across it. So... watermelon, mango, cherry, and lime jello "cake" with camels.
Happy Birthday Lola!
