Quality time in the woods

We joined the Bailey Adams family (and friends) for a couple of nights of tent sleeping at the Big South Fork National Recreation Area.  Good times were had and lots of butter was consumed.

First things first when hiking make sure that you can take out the hiker behind you with your walking stick.

 Excellent rocks in these parts.

 All the kiddos!
Not one, but two enormous stone arches!

 Ruthie found a new friend.
She even let Charlie have a turn.
Thanks to Bailey (my brother) for letting us tag along.  There's nothing like family time in the woods.
Charlie got an injury.  Good thing Nurse Rachel was there to professionally blow and rub leaves on his leg.
Proof that Peter and I were there.  Charlie hiding behind me because he did not want to have his picture made but he also did not want to be out of my arm's reach.  Hiking with kids.  Always fun!
I stopped on the way out to take some photos of my favorite tiny things.  I love all of the mosses and fungi around here!
