Now that we are back over here in the South East we could pop down to Savannah for a quick weekend. We had some good times with good friends that we haven't seen in many years. And a trip to the beach.
It didn't take Viola and Charlie long to be best friends with their Savannah "cousins" the Olivers.
This is my friend Beth otherwise known as Auntie Freida. We were roommates in college and have walked about 3000 miles around a goose infested lake. I have missed her so.
And my dear Sarah. She keeps me in the know professionally and technologically. I was once her youth leader at church now she's one of my beasties.
Peter got some good Auntie Freida bonding time in.
The crew. Wasn't it nice of them to take a quick break from the waves for a group picture.
Sarah and Peter had a deep talk.
Now that I'm looking at these pictures I am realizing that this was Peter's first trip to the beach. Third kid. Who has time to think of these things.
He liked it.
He even tasted a little sand so that he could experience it with all of his senses.
Beware of flying sand blobs.
Frog collecting in their Sunday best before church.
Viola just loves slimy little critters. Where did she come from?
Silly boys.
These two were cut from the same cloth. Look out world!
Family Picture.
Auntie Freida loves squishy babies!
And here's what Brian did while I was gallivanting all over Savannah. Painting red polka dots all over a staircase in a SCAD building. (He's the one up on the ladder)
Brian's buddy Mike. The master mind behind the red polka dots.
Peter liked the look of all of that red paint. He wanted to touch it. He crawled right of to it and then... foiled! I snatched him up.
Who wouldn't enjoy hanging out in a giant Paint by number with some enormous marshmallow sticks?
