And We're Camping...

How many people do you think travel from Colorado to Mississippi every year to go camping?
At least four.
Much thanks to Bailey and his family for taking us on a grand camping trip.  Since we flew in we didn't have any camping gear with us so they provided us with a tent, sleeping bags and mats, food, and use of all of their other nifty camping gear.  Thanks guys!
Charlie loved camping.  He got to practice his tummy time on the most awesome snoopy sleeping bag that my brothers and I used when we were kids.
 Brian engineered an impressive fire.
Viola got to spend some time learning checkers in the big tent with Garner.  I'm sure she was a worthy opponent.
 Charlie really liked the campfire.
What is this powdery white stuff all over these round things with holes in the middles?
Powdered sugar doughnuts for breakfast! Viola was in heaven.
We forgot to bring a hat for Charlie's little nut head so he had to keep his bear hoodie on.
Fire cooked bacon, Viola also had a massive fist full of this for breakfast,  She loved camping.
Then we headed out for a hike,  first a stop off at the heated flush-able toilets.  My kind of camping.
Prater showed the way with her headlamp that she insisted was necessary even during broad daylight.
Viola and Brooke took the scenic rout through the woods.
Then we found the lake and picked some flowers.

We found a giant tree brain, which Brian wanted to cut up into some wood-working masterpiece.

 Run Lola run.
Prater found a rock.  She was quite proud.

 Garner and Brian bonding time.
 Charlie took a hiking nap.
 Yahhhhhhh
Then Bailey thought that it would be a good idea to show Garner about balancing on a log.
 Garner gave it a go...
 ...and busted!
Brooke also performed a balancing act.
"Here's what you need to do Garner"
Maybe not,  thankfully he fell back and did not impale himself on that stick.
Bailey found walking sticks for all of the girls.
Viola didn't last much longer than this photo with her's.  I feared for her as well as myself.
