Wyoming is only about an hour away so for Labor Day we headed up there to see what they had to offer. We saw a bit of Cheyenne and then headed toward Laramie to come back to Ft. Collins on Hwy 287. In between Cheyenne and Laramie was a pretty bit of wilderness called Medicine Bow National Forest but we did not have enough time to explore it properly. Perhaps we will make it back up there some time. The only photo taken on the whole excursion was of this mammoth monument topped off with a bust of ole Abe. It so happens that we were on the Lincoln Highway which was the first road built from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Who knew?
